The Bottom Line
Keurig's original, fully self-service commercial machine, the B3000SE is a direct water line brewer with an intuitive LCD touch screen and auto-eject pod functionality. However, we recommend the new-and-improved K3500.

Keurig B3000SE Overview

The B3000SE is Keurig's original self-service commercial brewer and was replaced by the functionally identical K3000SE.

The only difference between the B3000SE and K3000SE? Minor cosmetic updates. Both brewers offer the following features:

  • 4-10 oz brew sizes for coffee, tea, and hot cocoa
  • Strength and Temp Controls
  • Back-to-back brewing pumps beverages out every 60 seconds
  • Intuitive black and white touch screen interface
  • Auto-eject pod functionality with 35-40 spent pod capacity
  • Multi-lingual for English and Spanish users
  • Vending-compatible with a coin charger accessory that takes US and Canadian coins

For more information, check out our Keurig K3000SE review, where we break down the B3000SE/K3000SE in the context of Keurig's 4 other customer-facing commercial brewers:

Pros
  • UL Commercial listed
  • No pod-scanning technology so brews both licensed and unlicensed K-Cup pods
  • Vending accessory to take both US and Canadian coins
  • Direct water line compatible
  • Spent K-Cup chamber holds 35-40 pods before needing to be emptied
Cons
  • Discontinued model
  • Max 10 oz brew size
  • Black and white LCD display versus color on updated K3500
  • Requires direct water line plumbing to be installed, no other reservoir (sold separately)

Is the Keurig B3000SE for you?

Are Keurig B3000SE for you?

The Keurig B3000SE/K3000SE is a great choice for self-service, customer-facing settings or office break room use. Just make sure you're OK with its required direct water line plumbing and max 10 oz brew size and 35-40 spent pod capacity.

If you're looking for a commercial brewer that has a standard refillable reservoir, you have 2 options:

  • K150P with a 90 oz reservoir, 10 oz max brew size, Temp Control (no Strength Control), and color touch LCD display
  • K1500 with a 96 oz reservoir, 12 oz max brew size, Strength Control (no Temp Control), and button-only interface (no LCD screen)

If the B3000SE/K3000SE sounds like the brewer for you, we'd recommend the newly-released K3500 instead. It's Keurig's latest commercial model and offers several advantages:

  • Max 12 oz brew size (instead of 10 oz)
  • Both Temp Control and Strength Control (instead of just Temp Control)
  • Color touch LCD screen (instead of black and white)
  • High Altitude setting
  • More modern, aesthetically-pleasing design

But there's one thing all of these models fail to include: specialty beverages like cappuccinos and lattes.

For those, you need the K4000 Cafe, which has two 1 lb powdered milk hoppers to make up to 50 cappuccinos before refilling.

Keurig B145 OfficePRO
Overall Rating: 83
Keurig's most basic office model, the UL Commercial listed B145 has an underwhelming 48 oz reservoir and max 10 oz brew size, but the Drain Brewer function is handy and its sturdy build makes it great for heavy use.

Keurig K-Elite

Keurig K-Elite
Overall Rating: 91
Keurig's most powerful brewer boasting a 75 oz reservoir, digital LCD display, Strength and Temp Controls, a High Altitude setting, and even Iced Coffee and Hot Water modes, the K-Elite has all of your K-Cup needs covered.

Keurig K79

Keurig K79
Overall Rating: 80
Once Keurig's most feature-rich brewer, the K79 Platinum Plus brews 4-12 oz coffees with a huge 72 oz reservoir and Temp Control. Now discontinued, take a look at the K-Elite. It offers everything on the K79 and a bunch more.
About The Coffee Maven

Bryan De Luca

I'm Bryan but most people know me as The Coffee Maven. I grew up outside Boston, Massachusetts and received my Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Providence College. My first introduction to coffee was during my college days, when I used it as a source of caffeine to fuel late-night study sessions, but soon I became obsessed with the chemistry of coffee. How did changes to water temperature or contact time affect its taste? Why do beans from Africa taste fruity while beans from Indonesia taste spicy? I launched The Coffee Maven in February 2017 to explore these questions and help others brew their perfect cup. Welcome to my site, and thanks for reading!
