Keurig K150P Overview

A heavy-duty commercial brewer, the K150P is just like the K150 except it's compatible with direct water line plumbing for hassle-free operation. However, the plumbing kit is sold separately.

You can still use the K150P without the direct plumbing kit installed, since it has a 90 oz water reservoir.

The interactive color touch display is a great feature, allowing you to select brew temperature up or down in 1°F increments from 188°F-198°F. You can also set the brewer to start or turn off at given times and adjust both the brew size and the display language.

And like all of Keurig's commercial brewers, the K150P isn't compatible with the My K-Cup reusable assembly.

Keurig advertises this model as being for both home and commercial use, and they're absolutely right. It's compact and affordable enough to be your everyday home coffee maker, and its straightforward color touch display and direct water compatibility make it simple enough to be a low-maintenance, customer-facing brewer.

Pros
  • UL Commercial listed
  • Compatible with direct water plumbing
  • Massive 90 oz water reservoir
  • Interactive color touch display with bilingual functionality
  • No pod-scanning technology so brews both licensed and unlicensed K-Cup pods
Cons
  • Direct water line plumbing kit is sold separately
  • No Brew Strength feature
  • Doesn't brew cappuccinos or lattes

Is the Keurig K150P for you?

Are Keurig K150P for you?

The Keurig K150P is an excellent commercial brewer for small and medium-sized settings. With 5 brew sizes from 4-12 oz and Temp Control functionality controlled by an intuitive user interface, it's easy for your customers to use. And with direct water line compatibility, it's easy or you to maintain during your busiest hours.

If you need a more powerful brewer for higher-throughout environments, check out the K3500. It requires direct water line plumbing (there's no reservoir to refill), but it has dual internal tanks for rapid back-to-back brewing and auto-eject pod functionality with a spent pod compartment that fits 35-40 used K-Cups.

One thing your customers may crave that the K150P and K3500 don't offer is the ability to brew specialty beverages. For that, check out the K4000 Cafe.

Keurig K300

Keurig K300
Overall Rating: 85
One of our favorite values, Keurig 2.0 K300 series brewers are a big jump up from their K200 counterparts with a 60 oz reservoir, Temp Control, and more. Now discontinued, we recommend the Keurig K-Duo instead.

Keurig B3000SE

Keurig B3000SE
Overall Rating: 85
Keurig's original, fully self-service commercial machine, the B3000SE is a direct water line brewer with an intuitive LCD touch screen and auto-eject pod functionality. However, we recommend the new-and-improved K3500.

Keurig K250

Keurig K250
Overall Rating: 84
The base model of the now-discontinued Keurig 2.0 pod-scanning system, K200 series brewers are an affordable option for those who want to brew multi-cup carafes, but we recommend the in-production K-Duo.
About The Coffee Maven

Bryan De Luca

I'm Bryan but most people know me as The Coffee Maven. I grew up outside Boston, Massachusetts and received my Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Providence College. My first introduction to coffee was during my college days, when I used it as a source of caffeine to fuel late-night study sessions, but soon I became obsessed with the chemistry of coffee. How did changes to water temperature or contact time affect its taste? Why do beans from Africa taste fruity while beans from Indonesia taste spicy? I launched The Coffee Maven in February 2017 to explore these questions and help others brew their perfect cup. Welcome to my site, and thanks for reading!
