Keurig K3500 Overview

Until recently, the biggest, baddest commercial Keurig coffee maker was the K3000SE, which is compatible with direct water line plumbing to remove all need for refilling water reservoirs. This positioned the K3000SE as a great option for high-volume cafeterias, cafes, or markets.

Well, the K3500 is the updated version of those K3000SE models and offers a host of awesome features for high-throughput settings:

  • New 12 oz brew size (with 5 brew sizes from 5-12 oz)
  • Direct water plumbing compatibility so no more water reservoir refills
  • Dual internal water tanks that eliminate all wait time between customers
  • Hi-res color touchscreen for easy operation
  • Auto-eject pod functionality
  • Massive spent-pod reservoir with 35-40 pod capacity
  • Slimmer 12" width

Plus, the K3500 has Keurig's upgraded brewing system for hotter coffee faster.

Pros
  • No pod-scanning technology so brews both licensed and unlicensed K-Cup pods
  • UL Commercial listed
  • Most robust commercial brewer Keurig makes
  • Compatible with direct water line plumbing
  • Dual internal water tanks for back-to-back brewing
Cons
  • Direct water line plumbing kit sold separately
  • Top-of-the-line brewer comes with a price tag to match
  • Doesn't brew lattes or cappuccinos

Is the Keurig K3500 for you?

Are Keurig K3500 for you?

The Keurig K3500 is designed to give your guests or workplace a worry-free coffee-brewing experience. It's the ideal brewer for high-throughput settings.

As great as the K3500 is, it has one major limitation: It doesn't brew specialty beverages like lattes and cappuccinos. If you want to give your customers that option, you want the K4000 Cafe.

If you don't need something quite as robust as the K3500, take a look at the K1500 (96 oz reservoir), K155 (90 oz reservoir), K150P (direct water line compatible), or K145 (48 oz reservoir).

Keurig K250

Keurig K250
Overall Rating: 84
The base model of the now-discontinued Keurig 2.0 pod-scanning system, K200 series brewers are an affordable option for those who want to brew multi-cup carafes, but we recommend the in-production K-Duo.

Keurig K155

Keurig K155
Overall Rating: 83
A sleek, UL Commercial listed brewer with a 90 oz reservoir and color touch LCD display, the K155 is designed for office use but is nearly identical to the customer-minded K150 (or K150P for direct water line compatibility).

Keurig B140

Keurig B140
Overall Rating: 83
Keurig's most basic office model, the UL Commercial listed B140 has an underwhelming 48 oz reservoir and max 10 oz brew size, but the Drain Brewer function is handy and its sturdy build makes it great for heavy use.

Bryan De Luca

I'm Bryan but most people know me as The Coffee Maven. I grew up outside Boston, Massachusetts and received my Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Providence College. My first introduction to coffee was during my college days, when I used it as a source of caffeine to fuel late-night study sessions, but soon I became obsessed with the chemistry of coffee. How did changes to water temperature or contact time affect its taste? Why do beans from Africa taste fruity while beans from Indonesia taste spicy? I launched The Coffee Maven in February 2017 to explore these questions and help others brew their perfect cup. Welcome to my site, and thanks for reading!
